Default Freetalk is dead!

Just received an emai lfrom Freetalk stating they will be ending their UK service as of 19th September and will be taken over by Vonage. Not good news in my opinion.

Fred - granted, it's not great that theres less choice but at least you get to transfrer your service and PHONE NUMBER - good news for me. If they are ending their UK service, at least they've done the right thing by letting people keep basically the same service at the same price with the same number. Also, with Vonage, we actually get faxing and 999 and voicemail to email (whcih I've heard from a friend on Vonage is pretty good). My suggestion is - give it a go. Dan

I think Freds already using/used the vonage service and wasn't overly impressed - could be talking rubbish mind you.

Vonage are definatly on a bit of a rollercoaster rid the past 6months or so.

Perhaps we are on the way to the Microsoft monopoly of the VoIP industry VonageSoft?

Wouldn't suprise me!

Did you end up switching to Vonage, and if so, how was it?
