I suppose it depends on what you're looking for..I like the 10 mins free per day anyway so I think will go ahead and try them....anyway it's pre-pay so I can always change..nice thing about VOIP.

Why would you want just 10mins a day free when all calls off peak could be free not to mention hours of chat at a cost of just a few pence during the day????
(As long as they are 01/02/0800 & 0500 numbers, all you need to do is put the phone down and redial every 60 mins.)

Granted this is no good if you call abroad or call mobile phones a lot during the week day!

Voip.co.uk is also pre-pay!

If you don't want to pay the £19.99 or the £1.99 then go for the pre-pay account. However you don't get any free calls and you don't get a local geographical number!

I paid the £19.99 so I am paid up for the year and so far I haven't spent a penny on calls!

THEY HAVE ALL BEEN FREE!

Like I say - it depends on what you're looking for - I make only about 10 mins of calls per day and most of the destinations are on the free list - so it will cost me much less than the 20 per year.

And 20/year is for UK only (not mobile)..right ?

Default FREESPEECH.IE charges to change credit card details

I had a pay as you go freespeech.ie account which worked fine - outages for short periods now and again but nothing major.

My credit card had to be canceled after it was skimmed (elsewhere). I put the new credit card details into my freespeech account and found i had been charged 50c processing fee

The prompt PFO reply i got from "customer service" told me to talk to the credit card company as this was a charge by the credit card company and they were just passing it on to me - and that this charge was "clearly" stated on the webpage.

In fairness it is stated on the webpage - i would not call it clear - v small print (stupid of me to miss it, i agree) - if i had know i as dealing with the budget airline of voip providers, with charges all over the place I would have been more careful.

Anyway, if you do decide to use them watch for possible extra charges every time you deal with them.

I know it's only 50c but if they had sucked up these charges and built them into their pricing structure, like most companies, they would still have a happy customer - now they have an annoyed ex-customer.
