Of course I do and with good reason and I would do the same with
anyone else who like Ivor was incessantly ramming a provider down
everyone's throats here, plus his incessant going on about spammers
which only serves to incite spammers to spam more and more but Ivor is
so thick he can't see this .

There is nothing childish about someone who has a go at a person who
persuades him to sign up with an outfit only to find that the company
is not worth wasting bandwidth on .
I have one or two favorite providers but I am not always coming here
and saying how good they are and persuading people to sign up with
them unlike Ivor .

Cheap always proves to be nasty Sipgate being a damn good example with
regards to voip one is much better paying a few quid a month service
charge and getting most calls free .

I don't ram Sipgate down anybody's throat - show me a post where I have
done this. I have recommended them and will continue to do so, but that
isn't "ramming down throats" as you put it.

To *you* - not to everybody. I'd be willing to bet Sipgate has far more
satisfied customers than not, or they wouldn't still be in business.

How many times have you mentioned Vonage recently then..?

Sounds like an oxymoron to me. Or maybe just moron.

I don't know the answer to that. Since it's you that's doing the asking,
presumably the answer you expect is 'Ivor Jones'. Does that mean that you
consider yourself to be more worthy? Might that be part of the problem?

Are you able to put your hand on your heart and tell me that your responses have
been worthwhile? It doesn't seem that way to me.

Try not responding, and see what happens. I promise you that I for one won't
think any the less of you.

Freshish. The trouble is, they both have valid advice to give. If only they'd
stay in different corners of the playground at break time, they'd earn so much
more respect from the silent majority.

(Me being one of those of course)

Course it is and I will continue to rubbish them with very good reason
every time you recommend them here or anywhere else ,if Sipgate
offered just one thing that made them worthy of anyone's
recommendation then I would be silent but they HAVEN'T .
Ivor can you answer yes to the following questions........
Do Sipgate offer 24/7 support even by email including a reply from
them 24/7? .
Are customers able to contact them by telephone at anytime of the day
or night?
Do they offer FREE calls to ANY 01 or 02 numbers in the UK or to the
rest of Europe has many providers do?.
Do they offer a good and realizable voicemail ?.

Many uk people including yourself it would seem will put up with
anything or service any company is prepared to give/sell to them
and I don't men just telephone service provision .
>How many times have you mentioned Vonage recently then..?
Not all that many Ivor they are not top of my list I had never even
given them a thought since leaving some time ago until Free Talk sold
out to them but that isn't to say they do not give value for money
because they do and they do offer everything like other providers do
that Sipgate DON'T .
voiphone.co.uk is top of my list has been for many months if only for
their mobile call back service if nothing else .

There are plenty of phone and other companies that do not have 24-hour
phone support. So what?

Do calls fail to end when hung up, and can you be charged 2000 seconds
on a forty second call?
Do callbacks go to answerphone because the last call had not hung up?
Are they charging some calls that don't exist?
Are totally spurious calls sometimes generated, and simultaneous ones
at that?
Does the automatic credit system on the account sometimes fail to work,
and why can't CS reinstate it or take a credit over the phone when you
have no PC access?

Another provider has had all these issues, but I didn't see you mention
it. And I'm not going to either.

Anybody that has ever read anything here knows that you don't like the
company. But others do. Saying it a hundred times each will not have
any effect except boring the rest of us to death

No, I don't think so. But answer the question, honestly. Who do *you*
think has been of more value, personal grievances aside..? In terms of
assistance offered, advice given, etc. - that and that alone please,
disregard our dispute in considering your answer.

But it's not *you* that he is insulting and degrading, it is me. My
responses are worthwhile *to me*. So yes is the answer to your question.

I tried that once. At the beginning of this year I made a NY resolution. I
kept it for 4 months but in the end could hold out no longer. He kept on
and on rubbishing Sipgate, and I honestly do find their service to be very
good, I certainly don't have any financial interest in them, or work for
them, which Ron keeps trying to suggest I do. He keeps saying I "ram them
down people's throats" which I really don't think I do, do you think
that..? I too have providers I don't like and wouldn't recommend, but
unlike him I don't keep on saying how crap they are and comparing them to
the Nazis.

Ivor

I refer the gentleman to the reply that I gave earlier. I would *assume* that,
by quantity alone, that would be your goodself, but I may well have missed some
gems from the other side, so I can't *know* that.

Granted, it's much easier to pontificate from the sidelines. I might be a red
hot armchair referee, but that's not to say that I'm always wrong...

Well done for the 4 months. He won in the end though, did he?

At the end of the day (I hate that expression, but what the hell) it's only
usenet. It's only a reputation. It's not life or death. The world will still
be turning tomorrow. Leastways, I hope it will be. I've places to go.
