If you can get both lines up it should be a lot better - radio companies
used (possibly still do) to have a way of connecting over both channels of
basic rate with a better algorithm to give mid-fi mono voice.

Good luck.

Install Fring on a Nokia E61i which has a Vodafone 3G card in & try it
yourself.

As Gordon says, a bit laggy but surprisingly useable.

It certainly doesn't appear to be being impeded by the network.

Germany uses VoIP over ISDN, it works fine. Why BT can't/won't do it is
beyond me.

Are you sure you don't mean ADSL over ISDN?

Although VoIP is possible with a PPP IP link over bonded ADSL lines,
I can't see why you'd really want to run VoIP over ISDN when it has 2
perfectly good 64Kb channels plus a separate data path for signalling...

Yes silly me, it was late at night. But if you've got ADSL over ISDN then
VoIP over that still works ;-)
