Was my first instinct when I started using VoIP a lot, but for those
periods where your dsl is offline, a 1471 (or *1471 on some) or
web-interface with all incoming calls listed is pretty useful.

Sipgate [for example] provide a web interface, as I'm sure every other
provider does.
