Compare the UK mobile rate.
voipcheap.com 6.5ppm at all times
voip.co.uk 5/10/15ppm depending on the time of day.

The way I look at it, I pre-pay voipcheap for my mobile calls
and get my landline calls free. I don't make many international
calls, but most of the destinations I am likely to call are free
anyway.

Despite there being two separate handsets on the service,
we would be hard pressed to exceed the 300min/week
limit. It's not used for business.

Yep.
I have just dumped my cable from VM after 7 years long and happy service
- It's apalling now, borders on impossible to use most of the day!
Had a fresh new BT line installed and have just signed up to UKonline as
I'm <250 metres from LLU exchange.
VM is cancelled on the 17th and ADSL goes live on the 15th.

May well go back to cable once VM is sold off if whoever buys it
significantly invests in updating the network and the hole operation,
but as it stands, VM has to be one of the worst ISPs in the UK.

I don't understand why you have left and re-joined so many times!
The current status of the network is far less than capable of supporting
the amount of users currently subscribed since they bundled the ex
NTL, ex-Blueyonder, and ex-virgin.net customers together sharing parts
of the same network.

As I said, I may well be back, but it wont be until huge investment has
been made into bring the network up to the required level.

As others have said Paula, It depends on your usage.
If you make more than 5 hours worth of calls to regular geographical
numbers and very few calls to mobiles then 2p per unlimited call would
be better.
For my use, we have 2 lines on the same voipcheap.com account in my
shop and I use the same account for calls from home.
Because 99% of our customers are contacted by mobile phone,
voipcheap.com gives by far the cheapest rates so our account is
regularly topped up which means All 01 and 02 numbers dialed from the
shop or home are free as we never exceed 5 hours a week.

Everything depends on your own personal telephone usage pattern as to
which solution is best for you though.

It isn't unlimited, it is for up to an hour on voip.co.uk[color=blue]

Hi,


I know of connections that are never less than 24/7 max.

Never slows down; never anything - just solid 24/7 (when up - and downtime
seems limited).

And whilst not quite the same subject...

.... not unlimited on 1899 / 18866 / 18185 (etc. or whatever they are)...
they seem to always cut at 3 hours.
