It is not relevent to my problem. > > Although with no serial number label I would have sent it back. > There is a seriel number on the base. It is not silver. AVM do not service this market. However, I have UK equipment I want to utilize with UK numbers. For the Fritz! I paid USD50.00. Adrian |

The CD that came with it is in German. Since then I have downloaded English language documentation & dowloaded and installed English firmware. Adrian |

The Sipura 1001 that the clock is connected to does sometimes fail to register, but it's ok at the moment and I just tried several calls from both UK and German Sipgate accounts, plus the PSTN and all worked fine. There shouldn't be much of a ringing tone unless the line is in use, in which case you'll get ring tone until it's free (max 30 seconds) but you should get the audio ok, I'm puzzled. Try this access route - call 2838111 (Sipgate) or 01352 838111 (PSTN). You will get a short voice prompt followed by a dial tone. Then dial the number 05648081. Let me know if that works. Ivor |

I have an international (English) 7050, and two German 7050 (one of them patched to Annex A, the other one patched to English + Annex A) - and all three of them work perfectly on my Annex A line here... |

Yes, it is. The hardware differences in most cases have no effect on the quality of the annex A broadband connection. The difference is among some resistors value used to build the internal DSL frequency filter of the device. |
