Since the de-regulation in the norms for the usage of IP Telephony in
India in April , 2002 there has been enormous demand growing all over
the country for the business from every corner. The ISP industry was
the first to be invited by the government to have access to such

c) NOC with required infrastructure ( Leased Circuit,
Gatekeeper/Billing Server etc) to provide ISP and ITSP services

Category B License -- To provide ISP/ITSP services all over one state
or metro city


Requirements:

a) Bank guarantee of Rs.20 lakhs. ( 44, 444 USD Approx)
b) An indian company incorporated under companies act 1956 (permitted
with less than or equal to 49% foreign equity)
c) NOC with required infrastructure ( Leased Circuit,
Gatekeeper/Billing Server etc) to provide ISP and ITSP services


Category C License -- To provide ISP/ITSP services in a Town, Village
or non-Metro City

Requirements:

a) Bank guarantee of Rs.2.5 Lakhs ( 5555 USD approx )
b) An indian company incorporated under companies act 1956 (permitted
with less than or equal to 49% foreign equity)
c) NOC with required infrastructure ( Leased Circuit,
Gatekeeper/Billing Server etc) to provide ISP and ITSP services
