Hello Everyone!
I have an ATA 186, have been able to reset it and upgrade firmware to 3.1 I am new to VoIP. I have a voipcheap username and I make calls using headset from computer. I would like to use the 186 ATA to access the voipcheap server to make calls from a cordless DECT standard landline phone. Has anyone done this? The help pages of Voipcheap do not detail the ATA 186 VoipCheap | Free Calls from the UK The web interface of the ATA 186 I find cryptic and not sure in which field to place the server information etc given by above tech support page. Maybe I need to register or subscribe for a telephone number for it to work. Cisco show a detailed page for configuration: Cisco ATA 186 Basic Configuration* [Cisco ATA 180 Series Analog Telephone Adaptors] - Cisco Systems ..which if you scroll down displays an image of the web interface with all the fields I little understand. Im hoping somebody will say, oh you just put server address here and username there etc. Maybe I should scrap the ATA 186 and plump for new hardware? Maybe voipcheap is the cheapo awkward inflexible partner here? Well, any help or pointers here would be a great help. Kind Regards
