Default ikino voice 200

Hello all,
I have just purchased an ikino voice 200 and installed the driver disc which included the skype setup.
The skype works ok as i tried the test thing but could not record a message as my laptop does not have a microphone.
When i plug in the phone,a message reads "usb device not recgnized" ,
"one of the usb devices attached to this computor has malfunctioned and windows does not recognise it".
I tried re-installing it but computor says driver allready installed.
HELP !!!!!

Hmmm, someone else came along with a similar problem a while ago, or hang on maybe that was an issue with the buttons... can't remember.

Anyway, what OS are you using?

Sounds to me like the driver install of your device as gone wonky. Is there a software package too, or is it just a driver that gets installed?

Danno,

Well your best bet it to make sure that you have removed everything to do with the phone from your computer. Run any unisntalls that the installation made, then go in to your desktop...

Unplug your device!!

Right click my computer
properties
hardware
device manager
find your device
right click
uninstall

then reboot.

Wait until the computer boots up.
DONT run any install programs.
Instead go back to your desktop

Plug your device in!

Right click my computer
properties
hardware
device manager
find your device (most likely in the yellow question mark section now)
right click
update driver
point the program to your cd drive with your device cd in
and tell it to search
install

That should get you up and running.
Obviusly you'll need to set up skype to use that device too.

Let me know how you get on

Hope this helps.

Matt

I'm still having no joy.
I have just purchased a pocket pc which is suffering the same problems.
The driver disc has installed, but my computor will not accept the device is plugged in .This must be a problem with devices being recognized via the usb port, although,my printer and camera work fine through the same usb port.Any other idea's ???.

Dan.
