Default Connect an analog phone to a Voice / 56k modem for VOIP

Hello,
I've searched now for a while but havn't found anything helpful so I really hope someone here can help me.

I have a computer (Linux/Windows software does not matter) with a Creatix CTX 601 56k data/voice modem. I want to be able to connect an ordinary analog phone to the voice modem and make/receive calls with the analog phone through the modem using a SIP/VOIP server. I know it takes a certain voltage to make the phone ring, so that is not necessary (I can use a speaker instead for the new incomming call signal). But I want to be able to use the phone to answer with and to make phone calls with. Is that possible in any way?

Best Regards
Oskar R
