Hi everyone,

We use Voip for our customer services and was wondering if you could tell us the best way to improve voice clarity.

Any suggestions gladly appreciated

Cheers

Hey,

Welcome to the forum.

Ways of improving voice quality:
  • Make sure you are using QoS on your router.
  • Separate voice and data on to different networks/ISP connections
  • Change codec in use to ITU G.711 - 64 Kbps, sample-based Also known as alaw/ulaw or higher
  • Don't use cheap kit!
  • Switch to a business specific provider.
Who are you with at the moment out of interest?

Hmm...

Fairly positive it will be your net connection.

Business centre broadband is usually shared with loads of other people. When anyone else downloads it will effect your voice.

Without a doubt, get your own dedicated connection in. Low contention is what you are are looking for.
