Talking Andrea

Hi all,

since I am back on this forum I will introduce myself: my name is Andrea, I live in bonnie Dundee and I am NOT a girl:) Being Italian I can tell you that Andrea is a very common male name.... I am an engineer by trade, even if now I also work as a translator from English into Italian (Matt, sorry to say this, but machine translations simply don't work:()

I am still to move house (things always take longer than planned), but this is giving me the chance to learn a few more things about VoIP and before the big BT-line-ditching move. Not being an IT whizz-kid is a bit of a problem, but what can you do....knowledge IS power, so I might as well start learning now before the VoIP revolution leaves me behind and before BT gets all my money. At the outset I was, to say the least, terrified by all this jargon and to this day I probably understand only a small part of it. However thanks to this site (thanks again, Matt) I am slowly getting a bit of an understanding.

See you in cyberspace,

Andrea

Welcome Andrea!

I'm glad i added this introductions area of the forum now. Had I not, i wouldn't of known that you were Italian.

I was under no illusion that the translation of the site actually made any sense at all in another language! Surely it must get the general jist right?

I hear that. Although BT are well clued up about VoIP, and are infact changing their entire infrastructure the run on an IP network! So they may yet take your money still! Its called the 21'st century network, punch it in to google and read up!

Well, again welcome - i've spotted your other thread and will head over there now and answer.

Matt
