Hi everybody I have come here as a result of a google search for Siemens S475 as apparently there is an article somewhere in your files about it.

My experience with voip is as follows:-After trying skype I changed to using voip for a few years now with different bits of hardware such as sipura different models with seperate dect systems. I recently tried out a UTStarcom which talked to my wifi but I found the link reliability to be terrible. So have recently changed to use the siemens S460 with 6 handsets and this has proved excellent.
The handsets normally send calls by voip and receive my normal bt pots. One can have 1 pots and 1 ip call simultaneously
The dect range is far better than the bt kit I was using before and I can take the phones anywhere in our garden which is useful as my wife is a keen gardner and previously the dect phones would pack in when taking a call to her.
I am now looking for a system for our lodge and was going to get another siemens S460 but it appears to be obsolete. the S450 is available and seems to offer two ip calls at once and store several voip providers. Then I saw that the S475 includes an answering machine as well and seems significantly cheaper. So that is why I am here and looking.
