I use Voipfone (UK VoIP Internet Phone Service - UK PBX Switchboard and Telephony services) mostly for business and have to say it does a really good job. The virtual PBX is very flexible, it means I can add extensions and remove them anytime I like and call for free between them. (I have colleagues scattered around the country). They also regularly add new features so it seems to do more all the time - but I generally keep to the basic stuff like call transfer and voicemail.

You should be able to get around that by tinkering with your phone. Basically (if voipfone use asterisk), it'll drop the call as it thinks you are no longer there. Most VoIP phones have an option that you can set which will send some random packets to keep the connection alive.
I can remember what its called, but it does exist. |

We have been using Voipfone now for about 4 months. The service has been great, from both customer service and their support team. The features they offer are far more superior then other voip providers. My only thing about voipfone is their prices seem a little on the steap side. Their prices look cheap but £2.49 for 1 IVR option (i.e Press 1 for sales) soon amounts up if you need 4 or 5...
I would recommend voipfone to anyone, but i hope they do change their prices a little. A Great company, keep up the great work! |
