This site is much better than voip.org.uk, which has become an absolute disgrace. I complained to Gradwell, which says that it 'promotes' the site and unbelievably, I was told:

Well, Vonage is in the UK and its forum does now have a UK section. The Voxilla forum is US-centric, but still accessible for users from the rest of the world.
I remember when voip.org.uk first started, it was also used by Gossiptel. When I posted complaints about their service (they wouldn't recognise my address and postcode because their database was incomplete) on the forum I got abusive messages. In fairness to them, they apologised, and said that they traced the IP addresses to a rival firm - but if they had had a decent forum like this one in the first place, there wouldn't have been a problem. Equally ridiculous was that some providers would reply to complaints or queries asking people to give them the last four digits of their account numbers - as people could hardly give out them out in full on the forum. Hadn't they heard of the Private Message function? |

I dont remember how now, but gossiptel had my PSTN number, from my account i guess. Someone called from Gossiptel and told me to stop posthing 'nastly' things on their forum.
I was only showing people a comparision of tariffs from other companies |

Gossiptel - have you seen the list of geographic numbers they've got? - it's still so limited.
Other companies have a far better choice. They should at least get some London numbers in the 020 3xxx xxxx range.More classic correspondence with voip.org.uk . Quote:
