Er, Bulldog doesn't provide VoIP - its phone service is PSTN based. You get a phone bill (including line rental) from them instead of BT. Of course the quality of the broadband connection will have some bearing on the quality of the VoIP service you use, but so too will the VoIP service itself.

In general Bulldog were very poor when I used them. They started off good (about 2 years ago now) but very quickly deteriorated. The connection was quick but very unreliable (a lot of down time) and the customer service was shocking! They also managed to charge us twice for a single months bill on more than one occasion.
When we finally left them a letter arrived from them a couple of weeks later apologising for their poor service and, I quote - "you deserved better" Its been around a year or so since switching providers, so they may have improved since then, but from my past experience I wouldn't use them again. |

I called Bulldog up to query if they had availabilty in our area 2 weeks ago. The advisor (thick Asian accent) asked for my telephone number but as we are with Telewest he said that he had no way of checking if I could receive their service. I was rather annoyed at this. He then proceeded to ask for any of my neighbours telephone numbers to see if they were on a BT line!! I couldn't believe he was asking me these type of questions. I did give him a couple of numbers after assurances he would not contact them but guess what-they all came up as Telwest numbers-hardly a surprise. In the end he said he couldnt answer my original query. Not good enough in my opinion.
