best upgrade for existing voip service?

I've been a satisified user of Vonage on a 4MB Telewest (now Virgin Media) BB connection for some time. I have a Linksys RT32 router. I would like to know if I can improve the voice quality of my service through for example the purchase of another router. Gradwell product reviews seem to infer that QOS can be improved this way. Extensive conversations with my ISP suggests that the QOS issue will only improve when the ISP itself upgrades hardware/software that favours voip.

Any advice please?
