Default My thoughts on your site....

I thought I would take the time to let you know what I think of the forum so far. The overal forum looks good however I think that banner at the bottom of the page screws things up a bit, I know devil 7 are your sponsor and they want their money's worth but the interaction of the devil 7 logo in the header is enough it's there in your face and you just click it to check them out. (my main point being the header logo's look nice for both ukvoiptalk and devil 7 but the logo located at the bottom does not tend to blend well!)

I see things in the reviews section that still bug me, all cosmetic I might add but I'm sure these will get fixed with time!

With any forum you want to spread the word, maybe the recommend forum MOD would come in handy here????

I think there are a few more MOD's that could be installed here, Last visit being one and maybe the birthday/online MOD, these help people get to know other members/users habbits and makes it a more friendly/personal place to be.

After all who wants to visit a board where everything is so bland or impersonal?

Anyway keep up the good work...

Hi Paul,

It's a fine balance between keeping an advertiser happy, and getting on forum users nerves. Hence why i'm not going to add anymore adverts to the site. I'm very happy with how the header advert blends in. The footer banner is as good as your going to get for any banner ad to be honest. I'm not really sure how i can blend that in any better. Most likely Devil7 wouldn't want it taking off too.

Bugs in the reviews section are as you say cosmetic (i haven't found any functionality issues yet), and these are on my big list of things to do at the top.

"Recommend the forum" mod sounds good, i wasn’t aware of this mod before, i'll read up on that and implement it as soon as! You beat me to the birthday mod, THIS mod is on my to do list at the moment too.

Thanks for the constructive comments, I've taken the on board and will act asap.

Cheers

Matt

I have to disagree about the ad's they have been well integrated into the site. Especially the header image.

The lower image does not fit in quite as well however it does not stick out like a sore thumb either, nor is it all that intrusive.

So I say

Matt, one little point i have noticed is the top banner opens the Devil website in a new window whereas the bottom one doesn't. I think it would be best to have the bottom open in a new window as well so that users don't nagivgate away from this site.

Rich.

That is what I was saying!

Nothing wrong with the banner itself, just it's location because when you scroll around the site in some places it looks out of place.

Dear All,

I am pleased to notice the positive reactions to the new adverts from ourselves.

Matt and I will continue to work together so that our arrangement continues to be mutually beneficial for ourselves, the forum and most of all the visitors. Therefore any feedback is not only welcomed by Matt, but duly noted by myself and the management team here at DEVIL7.

Should any of you have any constructive criticism or straight forward praises about the DEVIL7 site too this would be welcomed.
