Default Min Specs

You guys running asterix (or whatever it's called now) what sort of spec PC's are you running it on. I had a hunt round but couldnt find anything on specs.

Obvisouly it will depend on volume of calls. But is it RAM thats need or just raw speed?

It's not asterix! It's asterisk... So many people can't even say the word!

Trixbox is a rebrand of Asterisk @ Home... There is also just Asterisk.. which you install yourself on linux. First two require better specs apparently.

Worked fine with 96Mb RAM, 3Gb HDD, 500Mhz... I've upgraded now though

I'm over kill on mine, running a 3gig p4 with 3 gig ram.

Tbh, your only going to need something that size for a box with loads of connections running off it.

Just about to swap over to trixbox and have a play about with that.

"up and running in under an hour" - i'll soon see!

Appogies for the mispeeling

Im currently running a server thats 256RAM 500Mhz but unfortunaly it looks like theres no way of installing trixbox without formatting the hard drive. looks like im going to have 3 PC's running in my room now.
