I use one of these outbound providers as well, and ntl charge me 11p extra
per month on "calls".. I have chased this up to try and find out where the
11p comes from but they have no idea, I would need to pay to find out why
they mis-charge me :/...

1899 says it uses 0808, and ntl only charge a 6p connection charge for calls
that is chargeable.... freephone is not chargable so you shouldnt need to
pay the 6p connection charge either.....

I would go complain!

To be honest... I would just phone and say "Hey, How much does an 0808 call
cost?"... and when they say 0p connect/ 0p per min then I'd ask them to
clear the bill :) ...
