vBulletin is obvioulsy a propper company, with paid clients so I think the general consensus is that it
should be a better product. Now i have heard many people rant on about how insecure phpbb
is, and how vBulletin
isnt, so that was my main concern really.
After chatting about with few people, the gist is that as long as your running the very latest version of the board software you should be okay.
That, and the fact that re writing the forum to look the same on vBulletin would take me a life time, has helped me make the decision to stick with phpbb. The money i have saved i will invest in a nifty little reviewing program that should integrate nicely with the forum.
Im working on that as we speak, and im hoping to have it ready for the end of the month.
