Consider the numbers 3 and 9.
Their Highest Common Factor is 3.
Their Lowest Common Multiple is 9.

Perhaps a better example is this:

Consider the numbers 12 and 18.
Their Highest Common Factor is 6.
Their Lowest Common Multiple is 36.
