Default Cheapest UK provider
Use I voiptalk.co.uk as my main provider which costs £1.99 per month per UK geographic (like 0207) number. If you're happy with just an 0845 incoming number there's no monthly charge.

Otherwise I've found Sipgate.co.uk (who are actually in Germany) pretty good. You get a free landline number, there's no monthly charge, no charge for incoming calls and the credits don't expire.

Orbtalk.co.uk are similar but the credits expire.
