Hey Peige,

Welcome to the site. Sorry for my late reply - been a busy bee!

VoIP certainly is now a really viable option instead of a standards POTS line.

The issue at the moment in the UK though, is if you dont get cable (NTL, telewest etc...) then you need to get ADSL. ADSL obviously requires a BT line, and currently BT dont offer a line only package - they make you sign up to one of their calling plans!

Pfft. Ofcom are investigating this i think.

Did you find a provider in the end?
